Policies have a way of being enacted even if the reasons for the policy have been debunked. Political momentum for AGW is high, despite the Trump Administration's less than favorable response to AGW.
Much of the media protrays AGW as real and uncontestable. This position is also deeply embedded in the political left, and has become a part of their DNA.
