GCM Models

Slide 1 in this series.

The model uses very coarse grids as shown. The temperature is assumed constant inside an entire grid space. The 3 dimensional calculations do not work well for the real earth climate, as you will see.  And given the very dynamic nature of cloud formation and the lack in this model of good cloud models (in their own admition), the errors are much larger than the IPCC and the AGW community is willing to admit.

To have a good accurate outcome the model assumptions would have to be revisited, and more natural phenomena included, and the grid size reduced.   This would require a much large compute power than currently available.

NEXT:   Turning to the assumptions being used by the modeliers, we find some issues.
