What can be said about Man's Influence on Hurricanes?

Much still needs to be learned about hurricanes.  It is not just warm water but that is a strong factor.  In hearing the theories of this being tied to man's generation of CO2 is false.    Most of the links below speak to that.  The amount of energy required to have a hurricane is so much larger than anything a small fraction of the increase in CO2 that we have seen todate, whihc is 100ppm, which includes natural causes of CO2 increase.

As a friend of a friend described the generation of a hurricane:

As you may remember, hurricanes in our hemisphere blow counter-clockwise, and are conceived somewhere between the north african deserts and the eastern atlantic. Since they are the product of daddy sun and mama water, of course they are thriving in our generally warming glove.

As hurricanes, or any cyclonic storms grow and move, they develop a center or ‘eye’ of extreme low pressure and high velocity counter clockwise air movement. On the right hand side of a moving hurricane, the forward movement and the wind movement combine, generally blowing out of the southeast, on the left hand side, the winds come from the north, thus opposing the overall movement. Water waves and tidal surges as well as wind damage thus depend on your exact location relative to the eye.

The links at right can be summarized as saying that man did not cause the upeveal of recent hurricanes.   We do not have sufficient accuracy in the modelling to simulate or even accurately track the energy in the ocean.

We should revisit occasionally what the proper role of government is.   As the constitution was a good sense of direction, we need a core set of principles to add in order to deal with the future.

So many want to engineer society, remove risk, assist certain groups, rather than let individuals thrive and raise communities.  Why?

Is Democracy where we all "get it good and hard" or is it the best means to a free society?

Should we roll with the special interests, or make the government achieve its proper role, what is that role, and how to do this?

When do deficits and governments become too large?

Government is becoming more elitist while trying to sell corrections to problems it created, what makes this possible?

Currently as a society, we are having a most difficult time discussing political issues.  What is driving this?   And why a rebirth in political culture would be a good thing.

Market Economy

Are "markets" dead as some would conjecture? Or is free enterprise what got us here?

Economic Theories

At the heart of economics there are several possible economic schools of thought, the essence of these schools of thought and how they relate to our lives.
