The trend for what polls arrived at is of course positive, but generally close to the 60% level. This occurs afte the claims of consensus was broadcast constantly from 2009 on. The media did not represent the actual polls or the uncertainty at all.
Climate Gate showed also how much pressure was brought to the cimate science community to agree with a consensus, even if there was little basis for it.
NEXT: What the media presented was a different picture. Clearly they believed in AGW, but as with a number of political issues, their bias was more certain than a consensus.
