The theories concerning AGW make claims with scientific theories that claim that CO2 increases will damage the earth through overheating. This would mean that the temperature increase due to a CO2 increase to 2X of what it is today or at the pre-industrial times would be dangerous. Dangerous falls into the category of a temperature increase of some value over 4C.
Can AGW theorey make a case for this condition to occur due to the increase in CO2? In this section we will look at this question from several viewpoints. We begin with the greenhouse effect.
