From the start of this project, signaled by a general concept that the Initial Group of Leaders deems worthy, the timeline begins. Some will ask what is the progression in this timeline. Consider this to be a possible or starting answer.
Proposal made to the next group beginning with Willie, the Connolly’s, Joe Bast, and a select few others. The question to them would be what they think of the concepts, and about the claims of possible success, and do they have questions or better ideas? Can this be sold to the greater skeptical community?
Once that converges to a general level of agreement or at least a willingness to try, then the next step is pretty critical. That step is the general request for engagement within the skeptical community. This could entail a starting outline broadcast to the various networks each in both groups has, along with a challenge. It could at some point also include WUWT and other prominent skeptics, even folks that some know but who need to be recruited. The excellence of the initial marketing is a critical piece and may require some small funds to be raised and spent.
What would be the request? See this link for a possible answer. What might be the steps that follow? A brand name, assessment of the resources that are forming, and some focus on the starting content that provides the worth of the general concept. The leaders who can offer however small amount of time will be a moving element in the beginning at least. The point of all of this is not to burden a few, but to involve many. Again no reliance on think tanks or extensive money raised. These first steps can have the true value of raising hope in the skeptical community.
Next the teams. Define the response team leaders against a robust outline for each topic. Anyone who joins any aspect of this project is joining a team they chose, and the time they spend is up to them to commit to. Communication loops as to what is being proposed and acted upon is left to converge to action. If it does not then there will be some who are signed up for negotiating closure. Communication can be in several forms, including comments on the page in the comment section, or in email, Google docs and so on.
Changes in topics and outlines can be done at any point. This is not a process of exclusion but inclusion, as long as the exchanges are positive and to the objective, and are accurate and of the correct voice.
Most likely a seed topic to present an example concept would be done early on perhaps by the first group. Generating content in hierarchical form is not something many know how to do, so there is a learning process as the team process is also built.
All of this structure is difficult to schedule, but the hope is that the websites would begin to be published to the general public within a few months. See the website content intended link for more details.
As the learning on any topic never stops, the process can and hopefully will continue into the future. The benefits of this process also include the formation of communities that can form other layers of activism on climate.
