Temperature (contd.)

Slide 11 in this series.

It is most curious that there has been no thurough analysis of the overall accuracy of the temperature datasets.

Station temperature readings have been found to have reasonable repeatability but an error of nearly 10C in some cases.  Doing some form of calibration testing and an accurate average for use in calculating the anomaly temperature would be the least that should be done to have confidence in these datasets.

The overall accuracy is being stretched to a high number with all of the contributions as itemized previously.

Add to this uncertainty the inaccuracies as listed before, one can wonder what temperature really means as far as a global annual average.   It is a measure but what conclusions can be drawn from these datasets?

NEXT:  Moving onto the pause will give us an understanding of how vested AGW is in controlling all data.
