This video is quite interesting, and as well as understandable to a wide audience.  It is a 20 minute video which can be shortened by checking from 3 mins to say 15 min.  The question is how to explain the temperatures from the late 1800s to today.

He makes a quite strong case that solar cycle dominates and added to a 65 yr cycle gives a good representation of the actual temp curve.   By doing Fourier analysis on a long temperature record for Europe he was able to see the harmonic nature of the temp data.

CO2 is not found to correlate since it is monotonically increasing during much of this period.    He presents a harmonic model that does make physical sense as well.

All Climate Change is Natural

All natural using spectral analysis.  Looked for papers that discussed climate cycles, and despite the $15B spent, there were no papers found.  Temp data from central Europe from 1750.  Fourier or spectral analysis.   Power density shows cycles not monotonic, if CO2 dominated.  So the spectral output is the result of several cycles added together of different frequencies.  Adding the top 6 matched the actual curve quite well.  Where does this come from?

Solar activity (solar wind) and earth temp correlate well.  Taking proxies on temp over a wider geographic area shows that there is a 250 yr periodicity in the climate, which is called the DeVries cycle.  The pause has been explained away by the AGW folks and they contradict each other.   While a better fit is the superimposed of a 65 yr cycle on the 250 yr cycle.  Results arrived at by others with a quite different method.

 Global cooling is therefore predicted.

At last someone has published a paper which explains all recent climate changes in terms of natural climate cycles instead of the fairy-tale of CO2-driven climate.

Professor Carl-Otto Wiess, adviser to the European Institute for Climate and Energy; Former President of the National Metrology Institute of Germany, Braunschweig, used spectral analysis of all long-term climate data to show that all climate change is due to natural cycles, and there is no signal at all from our CO2 emissions.

We should revisit occasionally what the proper role of government is.   As the constitution was a good sense of direction, we need a core set of principles to add in order to deal with the future.

So many want to engineer society, remove risk, assist certain groups, rather than let individuals thrive and raise communities.  Why?

Is Democracy where we all "get it good and hard" or is it the best means to a free society?

Should we roll with the special interests, or make the government achieve its proper role, what is that role, and how to do this?

When do deficits and governments become too large?

Government is becoming more elitist while trying to sell corrections to problems it created, what makes this possible?
